It’s art if YOU think it is
I was just thinking about the infinite forms of art around us. Some art is obvious, like art in a gallery or art with a frame around it. Some art is more subtle, like a flower garden or old-timey signs hung on a barn. People who are don’t think of themselves as artists very often are, because art is everywhere. It’s in a meal created by loving hands, it’s in a lawn mowed by a dutiful sibling, and there it is in a handful of dandelions offered up by a gap-toothed child to an appreciative parent.
Art is there in every wedding ceremony, every prom photo, every car show and every parade. It’s there in glamour photos as much as it is in candid photos of kids making silly faces or
If it makes you smile, or makes you content or if it just makes you notice it, it’s art.
And it doesn’t matter a bit if anyone else thinks it is. Every single human has a definition of art that is unique to them, their worldview and their experiences in life. Theirs is theirs and yours is yours.
Art can be everywhere, if you just know how to see it.
