Senior Moments
The Senior Class of Linton Stockton High School will have commencement the end of May. As seniors marching to get their diplomas, they will remember many things.
I would tell the graduates that they are living in the midst of the most frenzied change in history of mankind, but caution them not to sell American systems short.
By whatever standard we/you use to mean sure the American system against any in the world, it has proved superior to any other day of life contrived or devised by man at any time. The senior class will set high goals for itself. Our society encourages you to meet the challenge. What is right with America overwhelms what is wrong.
My closing statement to the senior class would be: “You have the future. Seize it with the optimism it deserves. Set a goal. Aim high. Set out to achieve it and you will.”
