Thanksgiving who?
Now that Halloween is over, the real fun can begin. That’s right, I’m talking about Christmas.
Don’t get me wrong, Thanksgiving is great and all. I love making foods, eating said foods and spending time with family. But come on. I think we all could use a little extended Christmas cheer.
It should come as no surprise that I am one that likes to go a bit over the top when it comes to Christmas, especially decorating for it. And it’s slightly hurting me that I don’t even have a tree yet.
I have my Christmas music play-list already curated and ready to go, full of everything from the classics to the songs of more refined taste like ‘Penguin, James Penguin’ and ‘Leroy the Redneck Reindeer’. If you know, you know,
When it comes to decorations, I like a healthy mix of classy and gaudy. I love the look of the white lights with red and green accents, but I will also rock a Christmas sweater and crazy earrings when given the chance.
At my height of decorating, I had all the kitchen table legs and chair legs wrapped in wrapping paper, paper snowflakes all over, bows on all the doors and each room had a touch of Christmas.
I did displays like that mostly to bug family, but now that I’m on my own I have free reign, to a degree. I don’t quite know how I’m going to decorate this year, but you best believe I’m going to do something special.
I just hope my electric bill doesn’t suffer too much.
