Scenes from 4-H Fun Runs and Open House event

Tuesday, March 11, 2014

The Greene County Junior Leaders and 4-H Council hosted several fun run/walk events on Saturday along with an Open House to explain the workings and projects offered by the local 4-H program. The day featured a "Color Me Greene" 2K and a 4K run/walk event around the fairgrounds. Junior Leaders were stationed around the fairgrounds course and will 'dust' those wearing white shirts with some green-colored corn starch to put a festive touch to the run/walk. "It went well, we had good turnout from the community -- so that was exciting," said Malea Huffman, Greene County/Purdue Extension Educator in charge of 4-H. "I think the 4-H Council will probably do this again sometime in June."
