Linton First Christian Church hosted their fourth “Night to Shine” event on Friday, February 10. The theme for this year’s special-needs prom was “Luau” and everyone, from volunteers to guests, wore a colorful lei and some sported sunglasses. Tiki torches lit the way for arriving guests, all of whom were treated to a free shoe shine courtesy of Bloomfield High School’s NJROTC Cadets, hair and makeup and, finally, a walk down the red carpet to the cheers and applause of volunteers on each side, some holding signs with the words “You are awesome,” and “Shine on, Beautiful”.
