The Bloomfield Pool Board hosted the inaugural Duck Derby Saturday to raise funds for new lounging equipment. The board sold tickets for 1,000 ducks, which were sent down the slide where the lifeguards picked out ducks with numbers corresponding to prizes. Two teams participated in the boat race. The participants of Duck Dynasty and SS Cardboard had one hour to build a boat from cardboard and duct tape. The final event from the day was the belly buster contest. The pool is scheduled to open for the season on Saturday, May 25.
