West Nile deaths confirmed

An official with the State Board of Animal Health has confirmed that West Nile Virus is the cause of the deaths of at least six horses in Daviess County over the last three weeks. Forty horses have died, and to date, another 400 are sick. The horses have all been within an approximate 10-mile radius in the Amish community between Odon and Montgomery. There are about 4,500 horses in that area...
