Tatlock home destroyed by fire this morning

A home on Linton's northeast side was destroyed by fire early this morning. As of press time today, the Linton Fire Department was still on-scene at the home of Mike Tatlock at 809 H St NE, and expected to stay there until about noon. LFD chief Wendell "Sparky" Sparks said Tatlock was asleep when the fire started in his two-story home, but was awakened by someone, evidently a passer-by or a neighbor, pounding on his door...

Linton board says OK to football field upgrade

The Linton-Stockton Board of School Trustees on Monday approved a proposal from athletic director Charlie Karazsia on a way to solve drainage problems on the football field at no cost to the school corporation. Karazsia said the work is being paid for by the athletic department through fundraisers, donations and the athletic department fund.
