Blooomfield man killed in wreck near Crane

DOANS ---- A Bloomfield man was killed instantly and three other people hospitalized in a two-vehicle crash Monday morning on State Road 58, two miles west of the State Road 45 intersection in Jackson Township. The dead man was identified as Jose Baltazar Gomez Osorio, no age known, of 140 1/2 Mill Street, Bloomfield. He died of massive head and chest injuries, according to Greene County deputy coroner Brian Gainey, who pronounced the victim dead at the scene...

Volleyball regular season was good to most area squads

From top to bottom there may have been more parity among SWIAC volleyball teams than there has been in awhile. Linton won the conference for the first time by going unbeaten in seven matches and the Lady Miners finished 22-2 overall. Linton has put together two good years back -to-back with a two-year mark of 45-5. Several other teams enjoyed regular season success as well...
