At the brief special meeting Tuesday afternoon, the Linton City council voted 3-0 (Nigel Lehman and Charlie Cox were absent) to hire First Security Insurance of Linton as the city's insurance carrier. In his report to the council, John Mensch, president of First Security, stated that under the current carrier, Grounds Ins., only one of the city's two water towers was insured, only four of five electrical substations were covered, and that earthquake insurance was only on contents and not on city buildings.. ...
