Landfill closing could hurt GCSWMD

The decision to close the Worthington landfill to the public, which has operated since 1982, is a big financial blow to the Greene County Solid Waste Management District. For the last 13 years, the SWMD has been "blessed" to have "tipping fee" revenue from the commercial landfill facility.
