Skies aglow over Solsberry (Local News ~ 07/04/07)
The skies over the small eastern Greene County community of Solsberry were glowing on Tuesday night during the annual giant fireworks show sponsored by the Eastern Fire Department. The 40-minute displayed featured an impressive multiple aeriel grand finale. A friend of Greene County passed away at 2:28 p.m. on Tuesday in a Nashville, Tenn., hospital. Boots Randolph, well known saxophone player and frequent guest in the county to raise money for college scholarships has died. He was 80. Randolph suffered a cerebral hemorrhage June 25 and had been hospitalized in a coma. He was taken off a respirator earlier Tuesday at Skyline Medical Center, said Betty Hofer, a publicist and spokeswoman for the family... -
Commissioners say no to new courthouse parking lots

The Greene County Commissioners decided a course of action Tuesday morning on whether to construct a public parking lot or return the courthouse yard to its original pre-construction state.
