An offender attack on an officer is under investigation at the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility. Officer Eddie Gilbert, 34, of Greene County, was taken by ambulance to Sullivan County Community Hospital shortly after the 11:10 a.m. assault. Gilbert was struck repeatedly about the head and upper body by 27-year-old offender Paul Brasher. Gilbert's injuries do not appear to be life threatening. It is not believed a weapon was used in the attack. ...
