It seems to me that more people should have voted in the recent municipal election. Voter turnout on both sides of the river was embarrassingly low. Do we just not care about local leadership anymore? Is it unnecessary to vote because one vote does not matter? Is this the legacy we leave to our children...

She put a face to this terrible disease in sharing about her mother's recent lung cancer diagnosis. WRV nurse recognized for 'going the extra mile' with a stipend increase

The willingness of a school nurse to go the extra mile and take on additional work was recognized by the White River Valley Board of School Trustees with a $1,000 increase in her stipend.
