"We dodged the weather bullet again." said Roger Axe, Director of Greene County Emergency Management Agency, referring to Tuesday night's severe weather that moved through the area. "At about 5:30 pm, I saw the barometer had dropped to 29.00 inches. That is the lowest I had ever seen it. A low barometer is a sign of severe weather. I immediately contacted Greene County Sheriff's dispatch and asked them to alert Greene County Sheriff, Terry Pierce to the low barometer and to be prepared for possible severe storms," Axe explaned.
