Eastern Greene dealing with fire alarm system issues in new building

Hacker allegedly taps into customer records of local financial institution

Bloomfield Police and the Indiana State Police White Collar Crime unit is investigated a reported computer hacker case -- involving a local Greene County financial institution -- that was discovered on Friday. Bloomfield Town Marshal Kenneth Tharp called it a 'an e-mail phishing scam' that was set up when access was gained to a local financial institution's computer system and customer records were reportedly compromised by the cyber intruders.
