A new principal is on the way to Bloomfield Jr./Sr. High School. The school board is set make the hire during a regular session scheduled for 8 p.m. on Thursday. Superintendent Dan Sichting is excited about the upcoming hire. Illinois State Police District 19 troopers investigated a traffic crash on Interstate 64 at milepost 94 Wednesday afternoon involving a passenger car and a semi tractor, flat-bed trailer driven by a Bloomfield man. The preliminary crash investigation indicated that a gold 1992 Chrysler New Yorker, driven by a 19 year-old male, was traveling in the westbound passing lane on Interstate 64, when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of his vehicle and crossed the center median into the eastbound traffic lanes, according to a report by WFIE-TV based in Evansville.. ...
