Iva Mae Hallmark Goines, 87, of Mesa, AZ, passed away Friday, Aug. 22, 2008. She was born March 3, 1921 in Staunton, IN to Robert Newton and Florence Eliza Winn Hallmark Her husband, Mack Edward Goines, preceded her in death. Mae was a widow for 45 years, raising and providing for her family. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints...

One of the three men -- Ricky L. Cain -- who claimed to be mushroom hunting when they were arrested in May for an attempted theft at Ray's Auto Parts, was sentenced this week to 2 1/2 years in prison. Another one, Ryan McFarland, is expected to plead guilty and be sentenced Sept. 8 and the other, Travis E. Cain, has a jury trial scheduled in late October...
