INDIANAPOLIS -- The long kiss exchanged between Staff Sgt. Chris Fish and his wife, Nicole, said it all. It was a long time coming for this Vincennes couple, but the scene was repeated over and over again early Friday morning by Fish, his wife and other members of the Indiana National Guard Company A, 1-151st Combat Team family based at the Linton Armory. The "family hug" shared by Lt. Andrew Wood, his wife and two young, daughters, Katie and Chelsea, was a story in itself. Precious. And, the embrace given by Vicki Aydt to her son, Christopher, a young soldier making his first combat deployment as a member of the Indiana National Guard was heartfelt.
