'No refusal' program announced by prosecutor to curtail drunk drivers

A "no refusal" policy will be in effect by area law enforcement agencies this holiday season in a effort to curtail the number of drunk or impaired drivers on the roadways. The Greene County Prosecutor's Office, along with the Greene County Sheriff's Department, the Indiana State Police and the police departments from Linton, Jasonville, Lyons, Worthington and Bloomfield are cooperating in "No Refusal" program for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated (OVWI) investigations over the New Year's holiday.. ...

All of Greene County has been placed under a flood advisory, along with most all of south-western Indiana, and the National Weather Service (NWS) in Indianapolis is predicting high river levels will persist into the New Year.
