There's good news for Greene County CASA. The local program has passed its re-assessment and is re-certified by the National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Association. Lou Ellen Roach, 82, of Bloomfield, passed away at 7:20 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2009 at Glenburn Home in Linton. Born Dec. 26, 1926 in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Lambert and Dorothy (Spree) Hasson. She worked for Hunter's Drive Inn and the Woolen Mill in Bloomfield and also worked for NWSC Crane and was a mail carrier. She was a member of the Walnut Grove Church of God, attended Mansions in Heaven in Bloomfield, and was a member of the Mineral Ladies Aid...

The Linton Public Library has received three new early literacy computers which are designed with children in mind.
