School takes bomb threat seriously

After finding a bomb threat note during lunch Wednesday, Linton-Stockton School Superintendent Ron Bush called the police. "We discovered it (the note) around lunch time at 12 or 12:30 and we used our school safety plan and did our preliminary steps. We then determined there needed to an evacuation and we needed somebody to secure the school to make sure it's safe," he explained in an interview with the Greene County Daily World...

UPDATED: No bomb found at L-S School (Local News ~ 02/25/09)
Linton-Stockton junior and senior high schools were evacuated early Wednesday afternoon after a written threat of a bomb inside the building was found etched on a bathroom wall. Linton Police Chief Troy Jerrell said he was notified of the hand-written note that was found on a high school boy's bathroom wall about 12:52 p.m. The note was reported to authorities by a school staff member, according to the police chief. -
