John H. York, 72, of Linton and formerly of Chesterton, passed away at 2:35 a.m. Monday, May 11, 2009, at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute. He was born June 23, 1936, in Linton, the son of John William and Marcille L. (Weitzel) York. He retired from LTV Steele in East Chicago, where he worked as a machinist and was later retired as a door greeter at Wal-Mart, was a member of the Linton Church of Christ, was an avid bowler and the best fisherman...

Jerry L. Marker, 40, of Solsberry, died on Saturday, May 9, 2009 from injuries sustained in a traffic accident on State Road 43 in Greene County. He was born on July 16, 1968 in Monroe County, the son of Leroy and Bonnie (Hawkins) Marker Sample.
