Firefighters were toned out at 1:20 p.m. Sunday on the report of a fire at Reel & Sons Feed & Grain elevator and feed mill in Worthington. The building is a total loss - it burned fast and hot, sending towering plumes of black smoke into the air off a blazing inferno. Within an hour, the tallest building in town was close to the ground.

Flags in Worthington were lowered to half-staff on Saturday in honor of a hometown hero who has been killed in Iraq. The Greene County Daily World has received confirmation that William F. "Sonny" Hinchman, 42, was killed when a helicopter went down near Baghdad on Friday.
