Bloomfield woman faces possession of a controlled substance charge

Maranda D. Burch, 22, Bloomfield, has been charged with class D felony possession of a controlled substance for allegedly having one two-milligram Xanax pill in her purse. A rural Bloomfield resident, who is a senior in the Purdue University College of Agriculture in West Lafayette, will be featured next week on a national television show for young business entrepreneurs.
