It recently unveiled a newly re-designed and updated Web site and Town Marshal Ken Tharp has announced the BPD has started tweeting on Twitter. "The new Web site at www.bloomfieldpd.com is more user friendly and we'll be adding more information as time goes on," said Tharp. "We are also linked to www.twitter.com so that we can notify persons following our tweets when there is information that the public needs to be aware of."...

The days of fighting fires are over for one Lyons man -- who has spent 36 years as a volunteer firefighter. Look for the fourth annual Christmas at Pleasant Grove Farm to be bigger than ever.
