Fire damages Jasonville home

A brush fire escalated into a house fire in Jasonville on Saturday afternoon. Damages were kept to a minimum at the 202 N. Meridian St. home and no injuries were reported, explained Jasonville Fire Chief Harold "Pude" Keller. "They (homeowners) tried to burn the weeds off of the property and it set part of the house on fire," he added. "There were a lot weeds and stuff at the side of it (house) and vines had grown up it. Commissioners OK reassessment contract with Tyler Technologies
