Della (Taylor) Pickett, born October 26, 1917 in Daviess County, died at the Loogootee Nursing Center in Loogootee on Tuesday May 18, 2010. She married Melvin "Pete" Pickett on Dec. 21, 1934 in Lawrenceville, IL. He died Jan. 6, 1998. Bloomfield man faces animal cruelty charge after burning kittens

A warrant was issued for the arrest of Jesse James Day after a charge of animal cruelty was filed against him in mid-April, four days after he allegedly threw several live kittens into a fire.
