Warrant issued in alleged lottery tickets theft

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Jocelyn Turpen who has been accused of stealing lottery tickets from the convenience store where she was employed, then cashing some winning tickets in at another convenience store. Bloomfield Town Marshal Kenneth Tharp began an investigation on Aug. 20 when he was contacted by the manager of the Picnic Basket convenience store, located on S. Union High crowns homecoming queen; Dugger Coal Festival parade always popular

DUGGER - It didn't rain on the parade. Instead, there was a train on the parade. An unexpected appearance Saturday by an Indiana Rail Road Company freight train caused a brief 10-minute delay during the Dugger Coal Festival and Union High School Homecoming parade. "The train wasn't supposed to be here until noon," parade organizer Jon Dobbins said, zooming by on a four-wheeler as he sought to clear the tracks.
