Also, the Washington Catholic at Shakamak girls game will be varsity-only, starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18. On Thursday, the Linton-Stockton junior varsity girls basketball team will host South Knox at 6 p.m. That will be followed by Union (Dugger) at Linton-Stockton varsity game, which will now tip at approximately 7:30 p.m., 30 minutes later than originally scheduled...

Levi Kuehn was having a ball slipping and sliding his bright green-colored motorized scooter up and down East Vincennes Street in Linton early Tuesday morning. "This is pretty cool," he said with a big smile as he slide to a stop, throwing a ribbon of snow into the air. Kuehn, an eighth grader at Linton-Stockton Junior High, was off school Tuesday like other students in the area's other five school districts -- Bloomfield, Shakamak, White River Valley, Eastern Greene and Northeast Sullivan -- because of an early morning storm that started pelting the area with snow shortly after 4 a.m.
