    LaReta Mae Craig, 77, of Sandborn, passed away at 3:18 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011 at Lyons Health & Living Center. Born Aug. 31, 1933 in Chrisman, Ill., she was the daughter of Isaac Samuel and Bernice Leona (Ward) Clark. She was the former Deputy Treasurer for the White River Valley School Corporation.   • Shakamak bus rear-ended; 14 treated for injuries Saturday morning (Local News ~ 01/16/11)
    A bus carrying Shakamak High School students heading to a Business Professionals of America contest was slammed into by a truck on U.S. 41, just north of Shelburn, on Saturday morning. A news release from the Indiana State Police Post said the MSD of Shakamak bus, which was in route to North Vermillion High School, was stopped at a railroad crossing when a box truck, driven by 39-year-old Shane Mead of Anderson, slammed into the rear-end about 7 a.m.
