The city of Linton is in shock, mourning the sudden death of two-term mayor Tom Jones. The flags are lowered to half-mast in tribute to Jones, who has served the city as mayor since 2003. The mayor/businessman was in the last year of his term and had announced that he was not going to seek reelection to a third term. The 55-year-old Jones died late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning at his home on East Vincennes Street by what Greene County Coroner Sherry Wilson said "appeared to be natural causes." An autopsy will be conducted at 8 a.m. Friday at Terre Haute Regional Hospital by forensic pathologist Dr. Roland Kohr to determine the exact cause of the mayor's death, Wilson told the Greene County Daily World Thursday afternoon.,,,,
