Norman Arthur Wright, 79, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 after a long fight with cancer. He was born on July 14, 1931, in Bloomfield, Ind. to Virgil and Jennie (McAtee) Wright. He graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1949. Wright is survived by his daughter, Julia Anne Serfass (Tim) of Doswell, Virginia; a son, James Arthur, Terre Haute; two grandsons, Sean Korsgaard and Clark Korsgaard of Doswell, Va; a brother Maurice (Jean) of Greenwood; and his life long friend and ex-wife Mary of Terre Haute as well as a number of nieces and nephews. ...

Woman to face charges for drive-away theft of fuel in Bloomfield

A 26-year-old woman, Amanda J. Bridgewater has been accused of pumping gas at the Petro Plus station in Bloomfield then failing to pay the bill. A case has been filed and a warrant expected to be issued for her arrest this week. On Jan. 12, Bridgewater allegedly pumped $12.03 worth of fuel into a green Malibu then attempted to pay with two different credit cards that were both denied.
