Linton resident Donnie Rickelman received his first look Tuesday afternoon at his new left hand that was transplanted in a 14 1/2 hour surgery Sunday at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky. Jewish Hospital spokesperson Barbara Mackovic told the Greene County Daily World that Rickelman has been resting well in the intensive care unit since Sunday's surgery.
