Five people were treated for injuries late Wednesday night -- including one who was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital -- when a pickup truck they were riding in apparently lost its brakes and struck a ditch in northeastern Greene County. Becky Richardson, 43, of rural Bloomfield, was driving a 1997 Ford F-150 pickup eastbound on County Road 900N when its brakes malfunctioned -- causing the truck to cross the intersection of County Road 985E and land in a ditch at about 11:40 p.m., according to a report by Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Anthony Price.
