County Commissioner suggests combining election precincits to save money

Greene County Commissioner Rick Graves was in a money-saving mood Monday. He asked the other two commissioners to give some thought to combining some of the county's 32 voting precincts as a way to save some future election budget money. He pointed out that the size of the county is not conducive to the establishment of voting centers, but he does think consolidating voting precincts to eliminate the number of actual buildings that need to be leased for elections is an idea worth exploring...
