Molestation: Victim was 'happy' to learn jury's verdict

The jury deliberated for 8 1/2 hours in the case of State vs. Randell Vandeventer and for the victim and his mother it was a long, emotional period of anxiety, doubt, hope, fear, and finally happiness. When the word came that the jury had reached a verdict there was some silence and anxious thoughts among the victims and their parents who had gathered Feb. 16 in the Greene County Courthouse second floor office of the Greene County Prosecutor in Bloomfield.
