Jack Richard Vest, 89, formerly of Harrison, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012 at his home in Westminster Village North, Indianapolis, IN. He was born on Feb. 27, 1923 in Bloomfield, IN to Parmer and Pearl (McClaren) Vest. During World War II, Jack served in the Army Air Corps as crew chief of a C47. The 2013 Greene County budget hearings started Tuesday morning and it quickly became evident that continuation of annual longevity pay for county workers wasn't a sure thing this year.
