Dorrotha Jean Helms of rural Bloomfield passed away on June 15 at 8:30 p.m. at the Bloomington Hospital. She was born April 23, 1928, to Logan Fuller and Mary C. (Stevens) Fuller of Greene County. She has lived in the rural Bloomfield area nearly all of her life. She was married to Paul Eugene Helms on August 22, 1942. She served as a homemaker throughout her entire life. Linton Chamber of Commerce gearing up for Freedom Festival

The Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for nightly entertainment during the Linton Freedom Festival. Chamber president Bill Spurlin said the Freedom Festival Golf Tournament and 5K went well, and thanked sponsors for their help. He added the Cruise-In Car Show will be June 29 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the park, as well as the Baby Freedom, Little Miss Sparkler and Mister Firecracker competition to start at 6 p.m.....
