A warrant was issued last week for the arrest of Daniel A. Wilson who's accused of failure to register as a sex offender. Leonard Wayne McIntosh (Obituary ~ 01/27/14)
Leonard Wayne McIntosh, 88, of Bloomfield passed away Sunday Jan. 26, 2014 at Lyons Health & Living Center. Born June 30, 1925 in Greene County, Indiana he was the son of Webster D. and Luna (Bland) McIntosh. Wayne was a truck driver and a heavy equipment mechanic and he worked at the Bloomfield Silo Company for 20 years. He also worked for J.L. Wilson Bridge Company and Bloomfield Manufacturing Company. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II where he served in the 3rd Division and landed in North Africa, and they fought their way through Sicily, Italy and into France and Germany. He was a member of the Tulip Church of God where he served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher. -

WRV School Board approves referendum proposal

The White River Valley School board voted to approve a resolution for a referendum. In a special meeting Monday night, the board voted to put a referendum to raise property tax rates by 41 cents on each $100 of assessed valuation in addition to the current tax rate.
