A former Crane Army Ammunition Activity employee has been sentenced to prison for 18 months after he was convicted of using a federal-issued credit card to purchase $159,000 worth of merchandise for his personal use. Solid Waste asks for short-term loan

The financially-strapped Greene County Solid Waste District came to County Council on Monday and requested a short-term loan until the agency receives its July tax draw. Councilman Hal Harp, who serves on the Solid Waste Management District Board, said, "The Recycling Center has run out of money and in order to keep functioning until July they want to borrow some money and pay it back after the tax distribution."

5K to "Capture" the commmunity's fitness

The Greene County community will soon have the opportunity to "capture" their fitness. How Charming Photography will host the first "Capture Your Fitness" 5K run/walk on Saturday April 12. The event will not only feature the race, but also door prizes, vendors and a number of family activities.
