Thomas was retired from Material Services Corp. in Thornton, Illinois as a truck driver. Monday's Eastern Greene at Shakamak softball game has been postponed, according to EGHS athletic director Ryan Wilcoxen. It has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 14. This will take the pace of the Lady Thunderbirds game against Brown County .

County Council approves line of credit for Solid Waste Management District

The Greene County Council on Monday agreed to give the Greene County Solid Waste Management District a line of credit to tide them over until their county recycle fees distribution is made at the end of June. Council member Hal Harp, who serves as president of the re-organized Waste Management Board, presented the council with a resolution that was passed last week that asks for up to a $40,000 line of credit that meets payroll and other expenses through short-term, no-interest funds in anticipation of taxes loan.. ...
