The schedule of events for Memorial Day at the Walnut Grove Church and Cemetery includes putting flags on the graves at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 23 -- everyone is welcome to come and help. On Sunday, May 25, Sunday School will be at 9 a.m., church service at 10 a.m., and a ceremony in the cemetery by American Legion Post 196 at 11:30 a.m., followed by a carry-in dinner in the church Friendship Hall (drinks furnished). SWITZ CITY -- Sixty-two students crossed the stage at White River Valley High School Saturday morning as the Class of 2014. Superintendent Bob Hacker told the crowd of family and friends that 28 percent of the class will be attending a four-year college, while 50 percent will attend a two-year college. Five percent of the graduates will head to a technical school or apprenticeship with four percent heading to the military. Ten percent of WRV's Class of 2014 will head into the workforce...
