Schedule changes for recycling centers, Linton trash pickup

SWITZ CITY -- A few adjustments to the schedules for both the Greene County and Linton Recycling Centers as well as a change to the trash pickup schedule for the city of Linton were announced during Wednesday's meeting of the Solid Waste Board. Orell Dwight Overman, age 97, of Switz City, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at his residence. He was born March 6, 1917, in rural eastern Greene County, the son of William Grant and Artemacia (Whitworth) Overman. Orell preached in Kentucky at various churches for 18 years, the last two years being in Mackville from 1952-1954; then he moved to Indiana and served as pastor of Pleasant Grove Church of Christ in Lyons for nearly 40 years. ...
