Dairy Queen in Linton closes its doors

LINTON -- The Dairy Queen in Linton closed its doors for the last time on Monday, August 17. For many years, Dairy Queen has been a staple of the Linton community, located on the west side of Linton. For the last 25 years, Jerry McKim explained his wife Georgialee had owned Dairy Queen, but after a fight with cancer, she passed away last year. Bloomfield woman, allegedly missing but not reported as a missing person, booked into jail

A Bloomfield woman who was allegedly missing according to numerous posts on Facebook, but who was not reported to law enforcement as a missing person, was arrested Monday and booked into the Monroe County Jail. Sherry LeAnn Reed, 47, was taken into custody on preliminary charges involving operating a vehicle while intoxicated. She was booked in at 7 p.m. Monday evening. Her bond was set at $2,000 surety or $500 cash and she was released at 4:35 a.m. Tuesday after posting bond...
