MARTINSVILLE -- They didn't make a trip to Disney World, but a trip to Dairy Queen may have been the second best place to go for the Shakamak girls cross country team on Saturday. On a hot, muggy and humid morning, the Lady Lakers claimed the Class A girls title at the 24th Annual Artesian Classic at Martinsville High School. In addition to accepting their first place plaque, the runners were also treated to a cool treat from their coach as a reward.
