Friday, December 18 There will be a benefit buffet and music on Friday night at the Linton Moose Lodge. Buffet will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and music will be from 8 p.m. until midnight. All proceeds are for Cathy York, who is battling cancer. Teen Video Game Tournament will be on Dec. 18. Come into the Linton Public Library for a night of video games played tournament style. Esther M. (Richardson) Cecil, 87, of Bloomfield, passed away December 17, 2015 at Prairie Village in Washington. Born June 20, 1928 in Bloomfield, she was the daughter of John and Frieda (Stone) Richardson. She was a homemaker and a CNA and caretaker for the elderly. She married Larry Cecil on July 20, 1991. Volunteers needed to start after school program

Volunteers are needed to get an after school program off the ground after the first of the year. Linton First Baptist Church will be hosting the after school program Monday through Friday from the time school is out until 5:45 p.m. Volunteer Kim Collins said there will be a $10 registration fee for the program with a weekly fee of $5, which covers the cost of a daily snack...

A year has come and gone since Wring's Smokehouse opened its doors to the community, and it's been an adventure for owners Andrew and Erica Wring.
