A local Bloomfield business has been recognized by Forbes. Soy-Yer Dough, owned by Bloomfield graduate Sawyer Sparks, was listed as one of the "Top 10 Toys from Shark Tank" on July 9. "It's definitely neat to put the area on the map," Sparks said. Soy-Yer Dough is a gluten-free, non-toxic modeling dough with various scents, according to Forbes. Shakamak Schools hosted a mock disaster training seminar earlier this week. Shakamak Superintendent Mike Mogan said 63 staff members from county schools attend.
