Resident requests bridge left unkempt

The Greene County Commissioners were a little surprised Tuesday morning when a resident asked the group not to fix his road. Clay Holmstrom recently purchased a large piece of property on Coalmine Road in rural Bloomfield, and said he was aware the previous landowner had requested the bridge be fixed and reopened. Bust of Cudjoe Lewis poured in Solsberry

A campaign to replace a piece of artwork found success in the replacement being poured in Solsberry recently. The campaign aimed to replace a bust that was stolen from a courtyard of the Union Baptist Church of Plateau outside of Mobile, Ala. The bust is of Cudjoe Lewis, who is considered to be the last survivor of the final slave ship to enter the United States, according to a press release. ...

Second overhead bridge project complete
