It may look like a sign of the plague--thousands of silvery fish floating belly-up in Greene-Sullivan State Forest--but DNR officials advise citizens not to be alarmed. DNR District 5: ‘Injuries Sustained in Off Road Vehicle Crashes’

According to a Wednesday evening press release by DNR District 5, Conservation Officers responded to a UTV crash at 9 p.m. Tuesday evening in Midland. There have been no fatalities, but injuries were sustained. Jessie Hill (28) “drove off the roadway and struck a wooden electrical pole at a high rate of speed.” Sarah Bozeman (25) was propelled through the windshield, breaking her arm, and a two-year-old passenger suffered a minor head contusion. ...

In 1992, Virgil Franklin and his son Clifford were driving past Linton’s Humphreys Park. “[Clifford] said he said he felt God was asking him to start a Christian Music Festival in Linton,” Franklin said.
